How much does a renovation cost?
All bathrooms have their own individual requirements but here are some average costs for single room renovations based on our experience. Prices include renovation works and materials unless otherwise noted.
Budget friendly – from $35,000
A stylish makeover with the same layout & melamine finished cabinetry (excluding appliances)
Mid range – from $45,000
Some layout changes with a walk-in tiled shower & mid-range fittings.
Designer – from $60,000
A substantial renovation with luxuries such as heated flooring or towel rails, full tiling & structural elements.
In addition to the bathroom spaces noted above we can also design additional requirements such as an adjoining walk-in robe, combined laundry or powder room. Our expertise extends to bathroom and laundry renovations, providing cohesive and functional designs.
How long does the whole process take?
Most bathroom renovations require around 6 weeks to complete, although many clients can use the space after 4–5 weeks depending on the project scope.
Custom shower screens are measured after tiling with a lead time for production.
Can I be part of the bathroom design process?
Whether you’re dreaming of a luxury bathroom, a modern ensuite, or a complete home remodeling renovation, your input helps shape the final design.
A great idea is to collate a handful of images of bathrooms you love to give us an idea of your style. Whether you’re dreaming of a luxury bathroom remodel or a modern bathroom renovation, your input is invaluable.
Along with your brief, our designers will take this vision as their guide and build on it to create your beautiful new bathroom. Our bathroom designers will work closely with you to ensure the final result is exactly what you envisioned.
Can I live there during the renovation?
If you have another bathroom to use during the renovation you absolutely can.
If you have another toilet but no second bathroom some clients manage by showering at a family member or neighbours home. We will arrange a portable builders toilet for trades to use if there is no other option in the home.
Moving out for a few weeks is the least disruptive but is often an additional cost to manage.
Another option is to time your renovation with a holiday to minimise the time without their kitchen. This is the benefit of working with a full-service builder that manages everything for you. With our comprehensive bathroom design service, we ensure your renovation is planned perfectly, even allowing you to time it with your holidays.
We are well versed in working in occupied spaces and take care to minimise the interruption to your home. It is of course important to remember that renovations are disruptive whichever way you manage it.
How does the design process work?
More than just selecting your cabinet & benchtop finish, working with a designer will ensure all your needs are met in terms of storage, working space, appliances, finishes and layout. They will maximise your budget by knowing exactly what to include and what can be left out.
Do you have trade discounts for products or can I supply my own?
Our trade relationships give us access to various discounts for items such as appliances, tiles, tapware & fittings.
Choosing The Inside Project means you will have access to these discounts within your project contract.
However, if you want to supply a specific item, please let us know and we can discuss a process for this. We can discuss options for luxury bathroom and kitchen renovations and how best to source materials.
