This early 2000’s brick build felt very dated and stuck in its era. We were commissioned to execute a complete renovation for the interior of the home, including the kitchen, laundry, multiple bathrooms, robes + flooring & painting.
The original kitchen was sectioned off from the living area with a wall and pass-through. Opening the space, by removing the wall, totally transformed the central living area of the home. The light & sense of space increased dramatically, creating a much more inviting space for entertaining and living.
A scandi-influenced aesthetic was the driver for the chosen finishes. Primarily matt white, the L shaped section of the cabinetry houses all the workings, such as sink, cooktop, fridge & pantry. The island, designed for gathering & seating, was kept open to maximise the space available to use.
The cinder-coloured battens add texture within the neutral palette and ground the design by adding light and shade.
Gone is the terracotta kitchen flooring of old & a new oak engineered floor was laid through all living spaces in the home. The result is a fresh, bright & open space perfect for family life.
