Kitchen & Laundry Renovation Williamstown

Situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in Williamstown, the owners were looking to create a larger entertainers kitchen with butlers pantry & integrated laundry.

The previous kitchen was a U-shape which cut the living space in half and took up valuable floor space.  The layout also provided minimal storage which needed addressing.

By creating a galley kitchen, with an island bench, the space was opened up for much better traffic and workflow. A window splashback was created in the existing wall allowing natural light to flood space and open the room to the outside.  A new glass door, at the end of the cooktop run, was also added, which gives access to the side courtyard and even more natural light.

A wall of full height cabinetry, at the end of the galley, houses the ovens & refrigerator along with a full height timber wine rack.

Opposite the island bench, with granite sink and black tapware, a new opening was added to access the previous laundry space.  This created a combined butlers pantry and laundry with ample space for a concealed laundry on one side & bar fridge with sink on the other.

This space can be closed off with a sliding glass panelled door allowing natural light to enter the pantry from the kitchen.

Cabinetry is consistent across both spaces in a matt black topped with Caesarstone Calacatta Nuvo in the kitchen & timber in the butlers pantry.  Accents of white & timber on overhead cabinets complete the look and add a touch point to the furniture in the room.

At the end of the kitchen a run of banquet seating, with inbuilt storage, was added for additional seating around the dining table.

The end result has created a laid-back and functional space, with loads of storage and ample room for entertaining.  The clients couldn’t be happier.
