Laundry Renovation Newport

Like many older laundries, this space was poorly designed for modern living. Whilst the room was reasonably sized & located, the layout wasn’t practical or well-designed.

The existing door opening was altered to create a double cavity slider with feature glass doors. These doors lead off the new kitchen so were an important design feature. The exterior door was also replaced with a full glass model, allowing more natural light into the room.

Maximising storage was key in this design. We were able to include a broom cabinet & linen cabinet, complete with internal drawers. The washer & dryer are stacked on the other end with ample benchtop and cabinetry running around the corner between.

Two open timber shelves pick up the floor finish and give space for a washing basket to live when not in use.
