Kitchen Renovation Spotlight

The Brief

While the previous kitchen worked functionally, the all gloss white cabinetry caused the space to lack personality and warmth. Our mission was to create a warm and modern entertaining hub for the home.

The adjacent butlers pantry / laundry also needed reconfiguring to transform it from an awkward space that lacked storage and bench space into a functional extension of the kitchen.

An abundance of storage was created with an all drawer configuration on the island,while the back section is doors only for symmetry. The integrated dishwasher, sink, pull-out bin, integrated fridge and pantry all sit within this section.Creating a space where friends can gather was also an important part of this design. The timber benchtop sits under a thick white stone slab giving different levels in which to work and sit.

Butlers Pantry

With the kitchen being the central area of the open plan living, the butlers pantry was integral to the overall layout. It features a second sink and wine fridge, creating an area for preparation and cleaning which keeps the main kitchen free of clutter. The laundry is also neatly hidden away in this space in a wall of tall cabinetry.
