Recreating the space and transforming it into a well functioning cook’s kitchen as a modern classic was the primary brief for this project.
The home of around 15 years in age and was built in a time where interiors were neutral and very beige. Tiles were all shades of cream, cabinetry detail minimal & personality non existent. These things were all key drivers in the type of design we wanted to achieve – a mixture of clean lines, texture and style without stepping too far outside the homes’ overall feel.
A combination of white satin 2 pac and Navurban timber cabinetry sits calmly alongside the bold splashback tile – a handmade and glazed Moroccan terracotta in three colours. A new bi-fold window brings the outside in to create an entertainer’s kitchen that in the same breath works perfectly for the two occupants’ day to day.
High quality appliances, a full suite of Blum hardware, detailed cabinetry and Silestone benchtop make this kitchen a real success. A modern classic that is a perfect combination of style & practicality.
