Nestled in a tree-lined street in Northcote, the owners of this elegant Californian Bungalow sought to upgrade the rear of the house with a new laundry and family bathroom. The client’s love of colour dictated the palette for the two rooms which sit comfortably within the natural environment and the existing home.
Functionality was the aim here … A previously laundry space needed an upgrade and the client wanted a ‘flow on’ into the adjoining new bathroom so a seamless look was made by using ‘Capri Travertine Beige’ tiles on floor of the laundry and into the bathroom space.
The neutral hue of the Laminex ‘Raw Cotton’ chosen for the under bench cabinets and the full height storage cupboards on the opposite wall, do not interfere with the warm soft palette and together with the above bench cabinets are wrapped in Laminex ‘Classic Oak’ provide for ample storage and shelving.
Soft blue “Paloma Aqua Pressed” subway tiles were placed in a herringbone pattern resulting in a beautiful feature splashback run the length of the cabinetry and the sit nicely against he Caesarstone benchtop in ‘Ginger’.
The undermount sink is ‘Franke Impact Fraganite sink’ and the tapware is ‘Vivid Slimline Gooseneck’ from Phoenix both finished in a Matt black.
