Essendon – Bathroom

This bathroom was transformed as part of an extensive renovation of an Art Deco home in a bid to modernise and create a better flow between the spaces. As there was no designated main bedroom and ensuite, the clients opted to reconfigure adjoining rooms to create their own retreat-like area.

This required a clever design to incorporate a large open shower, vanity, and a toilet.  The main parameters for the space were for a modern look including whites, greys, timber and ‘marble’ to create a luxurious and timeless design.

As the room was quite small, we kept most of the interest on the one wall, continuing the line of the feature tile around to create a nib wall within the shower. The preference for a matte finish on the tapware was incorporated with the use of stainless steel, and was carried through in the selection of all accessories, drains and shower heads.
