Creating a warm, spacious & modern design was the primary brief for this project.
The home of around 15 years in age and was built in a time where interiors were neutral and very beige. Tiles had thick grout lines, detail was minimal & personality non existent. These things were all key drivers in the type of design we wanted to achieve. Clean lines, texture and style without stepping too far outside the homes’ overall feel. The existing layout worked well so we focused on an interesting design with texture rather than reinventing something that already worked.
A three dimensional textured wall tile was chosen as the hero of the space. Paired with the softly textured concrete wall & floor tile and frosted glazing created a soft and polished look. The shallow low height nib wall created a set down area for the wall hung basin and also allowed two different wall tiles to be used successfully together.
As a fresh spin on the wall niche we created a custom Corian insert that sits proud of the dimensional tile with matching glass shelf, a neat detail that also is easy to maintain.
The Caroma Marc Newson range of tapware further enhanced the feeling of luxury and style along with heated flooring & towel rails.
