The Inside Project is an experienced renovation company that specialises in kitchen, bathroom & laundry renovations.  We are Registered Building Practitioners and have been established for over 20 years.  

Our team look after the entire process from start to finish including design, product supply, build and warranties.

We have won multiple awards for design & build over the years and we pride ourselves on continual improvement in all facets of our trade.

We also understand the investment you are making in your renovation and work to give you the best result with a quality build, communicative team, and beautiful design.

We are here to help so you don’t need to solve everything before you speak with us.  Some helpful things to consider prior are:

• What rooms are you wanting to renovate?
• If there are multiple rooms is there a priority or would you like to do them all at once?
• Do you have ideas about the style you’d like?  A great place to start is to collate a handful of images of things you like.
• When would you like to start the renovation, or do you have a deadline to meet?
• Have you considered your budget and how much a renovation may cost?

All spaces have their own individual requirements but here are some average costs for single room renovations based on our experience.  Prices include renovation works and materials unless otherwise noted.

BATHROOMS
Budget friendly – from $35,000
A stylish makeover using the same layout with basic tiling & fixtures.

Mid range – from $45,000
Some layout changes with a walk in tiled shower & mid range fittings.

Designer – from $60,000
A substantial renovation with luxuries such as heated flooring or towel rails, full tiling & structural elements.

KITCHENS
Budget friendly – from $35,000
A stylish makeover with the same layout & melamine finished cabinetry (excluding appliances)

Mid range – from $45,000
Minor layout changes with a higher specification in cabinetry such as vinyl or premium laminates and stone bench tops (excluding appliances).

Designer – from $60,000
Major layout or structural changes with higher end cabinetry finishes such as 2-pac or veneer, premium benchtops & splashbacks, integration of appliances (excluding appliances).

LAUNDRIES
Makeover – from $25,000
An entry price point for a small laundry renovation which will follow a similar layout with joinery in a melamine finish & tiled splashback (excluding appliances).

Mid Range – from $35,000
A medium laundry fit out with melamine joinery & stone benchtop and some fittings such as hampers or hanging rails (excluding appliances).

Designer – from $45,000
Larger spaces with extra storage such as coat hanging, drying areas or seating and further choice in joinery materials & benchtops or feature splashbacks (excluding appliances).

Most single room renovations take 6-8 weeks depending on the design specifications.  

Multiple spaces can add a few weeks to this timeframe.

We will issue you a detailed schedule or works at the beginning of the project.  This becomes a live document throughout the project meaning you can see exactly where things are at every step of the way.

The design process can take anywhere from 4-12 weeks depending on the project size & level of complexity. 

Absolutely, we will work with you to achieve a project schedule that works with your budget and home.  There are some savings doing multiple rooms at the same time and it obviously means we have trades in your home for a shorter length of time.

But often we do renovations in stages – especially if we are doing two bathrooms and you want to remain living in the home with one in service throughout.

Yes, you can and many of our clients do remain living in the home throughout the renovation.

If you only have one bathroom in the home this may not be possible of course.

We are well versed in working in occupied spaces and take care to minimise the interruption to your home.  It is of course important to remember that renovations are disruptive whichever way you manage it.

Some clients will time a holiday with the renovation so they are there for less time.  This is the benefit of working with a full-service builder that manages everything for you.

Once we have established your project requirements a designer will visit your home to view the spaces you are wishing to renovate and discuss the options further.

At this point we can offer some feedback on your ideas and the budget required to achieve your design

If you are comfortable with this direction we will move ahead with a concept design and budget costing.  The design process continues until the design & specification are finalised.

At this point our builder & designer will conduct a building inspection to check all elements and ensure we have covered everything.

We will then issue a contract for the renovation to commence.

We have an experienced project team including a project manager & coordinator that are there to make your journey as smooth as possible.  They manage the schedule, product orders and trade allocations, among other things, giving you peace of mind that everything is taken care of.

A detailed project schedule is accessible throughout the works so you can follow progress.  We also have scheduled project milestones that are signed off with you to check everything is tracking as expected. 

Your designer is also available as required for guidance to ensure we achieve the best possible result.

The Inside Project is a Registered Building Practitioner CDB-L 51301 and therefore all statutory warranties by law exist.  This is a 10-year structural warranty.

Choosing The Inside Project means you will have access to these discounts within your project contract.
